SO:
I decided to buy a new summer frangrance. Mostly I don’t buy a bottle right away, I return to the shop to test it again and again until I’m sure I want to spend the money on it.
Anyway, this time I bought one as soon as I smelled it, hah. Find out which one, somewhere in this text!
I tested a lot of fragrances in different shops.
I went to Body Shop first and tested:
Smelled good (can’t describe it, I forgot already) but I’m afraid the fragrance won’t hold that long (as is the case with most of Body shop eau(s?) de toilette…)
On to the next store, where I tested:
All three of them are alike, some a bit sweeter than the other. After spraying a gazillion of paper sticks, I chose Island Kiss as my favourite (Pink Grafitti as a close second). But once I sprayed it onto my skin, it turned out to be WAY too sweet! Maybe the bottle design gave that away.
Fled the store, being followed by a cloud of different smells (I actually loathe perfume shops, I can’t breathe or distinguish one perfume from the other) and didn’t feel like testing anything anymore.
On my way home I walked past a L’Occitane shop. The past year I’ve been walking past it every week, but it never occured to me to actually go inside. It always seemed more of a shop for older, classier ladies. (not that I’m not classy, ahem)
I went in, but at first sight I didn’t find anything I liked.
I sprayed some of this on my hand:
Was like pure lemon juice. Next!
Finally I found something goooood!
Fleur Chérie: I bought this in a handy roller flacon. It also comes in regular bottles but I prefer the roller, I can put it away in my purse and so on.
I was a bit sceptical about the ‘cherry’ part at first, because I once had a Cherry eau de toilette from Body Shop. And I hated that smell after a couple of months. Hated it so bad I wouldn’t even use it as an air freshener in the bathroom.
But this cherry scent is more subtle and fruity, I love it!
Also bought a bottle of shower gel. (you may have noticed: these pictures are not in proportion to one another)
Then something I’ll definately buy when I have more cash to spend:
Really really love this! Warm, sultry, a little bit of sweet, and it also reminded me a bit the smell of a beach at night. Like the box says: ‘captivating’.
I also got like 6 testers of shampoo, conditioner, body milk, face cream and a mask. L’Occitane: new personal favourite!
